saffron crocus

This is a saffron crocus from our front garden. We are growing our own spices, even in cold old England. And daffodils are starting to spring up. Yay!

  1. Hooray! I would so like to be there to see spring springing.

  2. I forgot to say how stunningly beautiful the flower is, and how much I like your composition. The light on the green of the leaves does something special to the purple of the petals.

  3. The daffodils are coming out now – so cool the way there are clumps of them everywhere.
James’ photo – I have to wrestle the camera off him to use it!

  4. Sigh! We have begun our descent (early) into autumn via a non-existent summer. Your crocuses remind me that I need to order some.

  5. As I have to wrestle the camera off Marissa to use it. Luckily she sleeps all morning, so I can get my turn if I am quick.
